Bus drivers will be calling today, Friday 8/19 to notify parents of student pick up times beginning Monday 8/22. If you do not receive a call by midday Saturday, you may contact the bus barn at 660-656-3634 please leave a message if no one is available to take you call and you will get a call back.
Due to the weather forecast for this evening the start time for tonight's jamboree has been move to 4:00pm. Players please be at school and ready to roll by 2:45pm.
CR MS/HS Update #3: Dress Code and Handbook. There have been some changes to the dress code, mainly the allowance of sleeveless shirts with some guidelines and exceptions. Please review the points of the code with students. The code is on page 8 of the handbook--which can be found on the website or by visiting crestridge.org.

Crest Ridge members helped pack 71,000 meals on August 16th with the Missouri FFA Association! Amazing to give back to those in need!
CR MS/HS Update #2: Attendance. In an effort to simplify attendance for everyone, we are switching to a points system through SIS 360. Every class period absence that isn't excused by a medical note will count as a point (a full day absence = 8pts). Students will be given 50 points a semester. Exceeding 50 points will require students to make up time--similar to before, now with 1 pt = 50 minutes of make up time. We hope this makes tracking attendance easier for all. CR MS/HS Parents: We will be sending you some brief informational messages to update you on any changes to policy before the year starts. Today: Cell Phones (see image for the policy). Classroom use of cell phones is largely an unwelcome distraction and students will be asked to use district-provided chromebooks for technology needs. Please support teachers by reminding students that cell phones are not a classroom right.

JH Football and Volleyball practice begins tomorrow 8/15. Practice time 3:30pm. PRIVIT information must be complete to be eligible to participate.
Parents and Guardians: Spring state test scores (MAP/EOC) will be sent home with students in their back to school packets. The copy is yours to keep.
We are so excited to get Fall High School Sports practices started tomorrow! Reminder: Your student must have a current physical and the PRIVIT information updated and cleared in order to be eligible to practice tomorrow. It's a Great Day to be a Cougar!!

The results are in! Crest Ridge FFA has a National Agriscience Fair Finalist! Congratulations to Spencer Vossler! He is in the top 10 in the nation! He will be interviewed on September 13th for a chance to be top three in the nation!

CRS Reminder: Athletics and Activities Informational Parent Meeting is tomorrow 7/28 in the secondary building at 7:00pm. Meet the fall coaches and understand what it means for your student to represent Crest Ridge Schools. Also, please have your PRIVIT information completed if your student is participating in fall Athletics, Cheer (grades 7-12) or Band (grades 9-12).

CRS Clarification: Athletes and Cheer grades 7-12 will need a physical. Band only grades 9-12 will need a physical. Also both band and Color Guard will have camp August 1-5. 8:30-3:30 this includes a lunch break 11:30-1:00. Incoming 6th grade students do not need a physical for school activities.
